A dune walk is certainly one of the walks we like to take. Especially in April and May it is very pleasant to walk such a walk. This is our highlight, the dune walk in the Kennemer dunes with a visit to the beach with a food and beverage outlet (Parnassia) halfway through. More than 12 kilometers alternating on beautiful paths, through dunes and forest, along lakes and through loose sand, with beautiful viewpoints and of course the sea beach.

The walk mainly follows the red posts route so if you forget to look at your GPS, pay attention to the red posts as well. To get to the viewpoints, you sometimes have to climb a lot. You may also encounter a Scottish Highlander along the way.

In the second part of the walk you will pass a readable water meter and some practice concrete bombs from the Second World War.

Almost in the beginning you pass the Oosterplas. During or after the walk you can take a dip here. The water here is 2.5 m deep at its deepest point. The beach is about 150 meters long and there is another piece of beach of about 50 meters.

The parking lot where the walk starts is a paid parking lot behind a barrier. There is a free parking space about 300 meters back.
