From Strandboulevard, 3882RN Putten, Netherlands
To Vanenburgerallee 13A, 3882 Putten, Netherlands
This route starts from Postillion Nulde from where the Klompenroute 'Het Hoeverveldpad' is followed with the route extension through the Arkemheense Polder. The first part of the walk is very beautiful through the polder, one downside is the constant view and sound of the A-28. Nevertheless, the bird-rich nature in the Arkemheense Polder makes up for it. The Delta Schuitenbeek is also part of this route. It is an area of about 60 hectares with open water and reed marsh. The reeds purify the water from the Schuitenbeek before it flows extra clean into the Nijkerkernauw, creating a beautiful and special nature area. Birdwatchers are often found here. With large cameras, they try to photograph, for example, the reed warbler. This small bird is only found in a limited number of areas in the Netherlands, and with the establishment of this area in 2000, the number of reed warblers has significantly increased. The great egret and the tufted duck have also been frequently spotted in the delta.
After Polder Arkemheen, you walk over the A-28 before turning right and walking a little piece parallel to the A-28. Indeed, with a wonderful expansive view on your left-hand side. Continuing to walk, the road bends left. You will continue to follow the Klompenpad route Hoeverveldpad. At the end of this path, you turn right onto Waterweg towards Nijkerkerstraat.
From Oldenallerallee, follow the Klompenroute - the Oldenallerpad (red signposts). This Klompenroute takes you along and over the beautiful estate of Castle de Oldenaller and is a feast for the eyes. Here, see what Natuurmonumenten says about this centuries-old Kasteel Oldenaller
You continue on the Oldenallerpad until you encounter the Routeverkorter at Hogesteeg. You follow this by turning left into the 'wild nature.' Walking through wooded areas, you reach Withagersteeg and then turn right. This bends left and ends at Broekmolenweg with the railway crossing on the right. Here is also the transfer point from the Oldenallerpad to the Hoeverveldpad.
Turn left and again follow the Klompenpad Hoeverveldpad (orange signposts).
Follow the Hoeverveldpad clogs until you reach Castle Vanenburg. Sometimes the signs have become a little vague.
