Wat Khok Singkharam is located about 1 kilometre to the southeast of Si Satchanalai town. The major historic structures in this temple include a main Lankan style chedi, a rectangular vihara, an ordination hall and four subordinate chedis. All of the constructions were built from blocks of laterite. Phongsawadan Nua or the historical chronicle of Northern Thailand, mentioned to Wat Khok Singkharam as the temple located at the centre of the town where some Brahmans, certain high position Buddhist cardinals, high position monks, 500 enlightened monks and all other monks were invited to meet together.
