The ruin of Wat Chang is situated in Wat Nak Watchara Sophon. Located outside the town wall in the north, Wat Chang was laid out in a rectangular plan and enclosed with a moat around the temple and laterite walls. At the front, there is a square base of a vihara with four directional porches. Next to the vihara base in the west is the main chedi in bell shape. Its lower part was decorated with 18 stucco elephant sculptures, only the heads and front feet project from each side of the structure, including a niche to contain a Buddha image in the front. The body of the stupa rests on octangular tiers in the form of an overturned lotus, typical of the Sukhothai style prevailing in Kamphaeng Phet. Bell-shaped chedis with elephant figures around the base were popular during the Sukhothai Period. This type of chedi was probably influenced by the architectural style of Sri Lanka, when Sukhothai adopted Theravada Buddhism.
