Ottoson Middle School (OMS for short) is a middle school in Arlington, Massachusetts, United States, serving students in grades 6–8. The principal of the school is Tim Ruggere. The assistant principals are Jack Flood, Maureen Murphy and John J. Gonsalves. There used to be two middle schools in Arlington, one in East Arlington (Gibbs Junior High, previously Junior High East) and one in Arlington Heights (Junior High West). These had only grades 7 and 8 (and the elementary schools had grades 1 to 6). The Gibbs was closed in the late 1980s, and Junior High West is now Ottoson Middle School. Ottoson has over 1000 students, about 60 teachers, and nearly 50 support staff members. The mascot is Otto the Bulldog, and the school colors are maroon and gray.
