The comment-option has been made available on RouteYou.com for a while. Read here how to use it

The comment-option allows you to provide information about routes to the author and/or to other users of the route. It allows you to report great places one should see along the route, but which are not mentioned. You can also add nice places to stay (pubs, hotels,...), or provide updates of the route.
