At RouteYou we do our very best to make it as easy as possible for you to choose or plan a suitable route. That is why we added a new and useful map layer in our RoutePlanner: the road properties.

The more you zoom in on the map, the more detail you will see. Attention, this map layer does not work in combination with Google Maps or Satellite.

Legend:

  • Road with pavement in cobblestones
  • The length of a cobble stone section is indicated by a gray line.
  • Unpaved but stable road surface of good quality
  • The length of a good unpaved road surface is indicated by a yellow line
  • A paved road surface with structure (eg concrete pavers) or paved road surface in poor condition
  • Unpaved road surface in loose material
  • The length of a rugged unpaved road surface is indicated by an orange line
  •  Road gradients between 3% and 6%
  •  Road gradients between 6% and 9%
