The middle part of this walk takes you through the rugged landscape of the Bayuyo volcano and the Calderón Hondo. From the Calderón Hondo it goes through an old lava field to the northern coast of Fuerteventura and past Punta Gorda, the northernmost point of the island. The beginning and end of the walk are on unpaved wide roads with a fair amount of car traffic.
