El bosque de Tangebeek es un antiguo parque boscoso con álamos y plantaciones de álamos que gradualmente están siendo reemplazadas por un bosque de hoja caduca mixto con fresno común, aliso negro, roble veranig, arce común, haya, sauce arbóreo, abedul, sorbó, espino negro, avellano y espino.
Los sobrevivientes de la época del parque son una serie de árboles no autóctonos y árboles ornamentales, como el árbol del cielo, el abeto plateado gigante, el sauce llorón, el tejo, el abeto de hemlock, el ciprés californiano y la robinia. En la capa herbácea del valle de Tangebeek se pueden encontrar tanto especies típicas de bosque como plantas herbáceas de matorral.
