Zwalm es un municipio en la provincia de Flandes Oriental en Bélgica. El municipio cuenta con más de 7500 habitantes.
Zwalm es un municipio de fusión, que consiste en 12 distritos, a saber: Beerlegem, Dikkele, Hundelgem, Meilegem, Munkzwalm, Nederzwalm-Hermelgem, Paulatem, Roborst, Rozebeke, Sint-Blasius-Boekel, Sint-Denijs-Boekel y Sint-Maria-Latem. Las 12 pequeñas estrellas en la bandera del municipio de fusión se refieren a estos distritos. El municipio de fusión se creó en 1977 a partir de la unión de Groot-Munkzwalm y Nederzwalm-Hermelgem. El distrito Nederzwalm-Hermelgen se formó a mediados del siglo XIX cuando Nederzwalm y el más pequeño Hermelgem se fusionaron. En Sint-Denijs-Boekel se encuentra el pequeño asentamiento de Wijlegem.
