Steenkerke es un lugar en Henao. Hasta el 1 de enero de 1977 fue un municipio independiente y ahora es un submunicipio de 's-Gravenbrakel.
Steenkerke se encuentra en el empinado borde oeste del valle del Zenne y la iglesia está construida sobre una explanada de pizarra. A través del pueblo pasa la antigua carretera que conecta Zinnik con Flandes, que todavía es bien reconocible en la región y sigue en el pueblo la Rue de Turenne, Place de Steenkerque y Rue du Haut Bosquet. La carretera era importante para la exportación de piedra de las canteras alrededor de Zinnik y Écaussinnes hacia el condado de Flandes. Sin embargo, desde la construcción de la carretera de Zinnik a Edingen a finales del siglo XVIII, esta vía ha caído en desuso.
