La iglesia de San Amando es la iglesia parroquial más antigua de Geel. Se encuentra cerca del Mercado en el centro de la ciudad.
Es una iglesia de estilo gótico tardío que fue construida entre 1489 y 1532. La iglesia anterior se incendió en 1489. Esta estaba construida en arenisca blanca brabanzona. La reconstrucción de la iglesia comenzó en 1490 con ladrillo. De la construcción de arenisca quedaron algunos restos. La torre tiene un basamento de aproximadamente 1400, es parcialmente de 1489, y fue elevada a 59 metros a mediados del siglo XVI. En 1567, la mayoría de las obras de arte en la iglesia fueron destruidas por la Tempestad de Imágenes. Solo se salvaron las estatuas de los Santos Dimpna y Gerebernus, así como dos pinturas, entre ellas una Adoración de los Reyes Magos.
