Jo Lemaire nació en 1956 en Gembloux. Su primer gran éxito es una versión de ‘Je suis venue te dire que je m’en vais’ de Gainsbourg, que se convierte en un éxito en toda Europa. Su primer disco en solitario, ‘Concorde’, también tiene mucho éxito. Jo Lemaire canta tanto en francés, neerlandés como en inglés, por lo que es popular en ambas partes del país y también tiene bastante éxito fuera de nuestras fronteras.
