El bosque indiviso de Stambruges está compuesto por formaciones de árboles de hoja caduca (fragmentos de haya, encinares ácidos en suelos arenosos secos, ...) y coníferas, principalmente pinos silvestres. La Mer de Sable, situada al sur de este bosque, cuenta con numerosos medios notables: brezales secos, brezales de turba con brezo, fosas de fango, joven bosque de abedules cabezudos.
