La exposición permanente ilustra la historia del dominio desde sus inicios bajo el Rey Leopoldo II (1900) hasta la actualidad; se presta atención, entre otras cosas, a las baterías costeras alemanas que se construyeron durante la Primera y Segunda Guerra Mundial. También se puede visitar la residencia del Príncipe Carlos (1903-1983), Conde de Flandes, Regente de Bélgica (1944-1950).
