Nieuwrode es una localidad del municipio de Holsbeek, situado en la provincia de Brabante Flamenco. Nieuwrode fue un municipio independiente hasta la reestructuración municipal de 1977. El pueblo se originó en el siglo XII. La primera iglesia o capilla fue construida en la propiedad de los señores de Schoonhoven. La parroquia de Nieuwrode fue hasta 1239 una cuarta capilla de la iglesia madre de Sint-Pieters-Rode.
