Hoogstade es una aldea rural en la provincia belga de West Flandes. Desde 1971 es un municipio de Alveringem. Hoogstade apareció en las noticias en 1974 cuando la iglesia fue destruida por un incendio. A finales de 2008, Hoogstade contaba con 371 habitantes. Hoogstade fue mencionado por primera vez en 859 como Hostede. Hoogstade era una señoría que perteneció sucesivamente a las familias Van Hoogstade y más tarde Van Linde. En 1578 tuvo lugar la primera reunión armada de protestantes en Veurne-Ambacht. Esto ocurrió en Colaertshille, un lugar que hoy lleva el nombre de una granja. Durante la época francesa, Hoogstade fue destruido. Durante la Primera Guerra Mundial, el pueblo fue mayormente ahorrado, mientras que el Rustoord Clep se convirtió en un hospital militar belga en 1915.
