Broechem es una parroquia del municipio de Ranst en la provincia de Amberes, Bélgica. Broechem fue un municipio independiente hasta la reorganización municipal de 1977. Broechem se mencionó por primera vez en el Polypticon de la Abadía de Lobbes. En 1161, los derechos de la parroquia pasaron a la Abadía de Tongerlo. La abadía también poseía la granja Awen o Ter Eeuwen. Desde aproximadamente 1180 hasta 1280, fue un monasterio femenino, donde también se construyó una capilla. Su altar fue trasladado alrededor de 1329 a la iglesia parroquial de Broechem.
