Oetingen es una aldea y un distrito de Gooik en la provincia belga de Brabante Flamenco y la región geográfica de Pajottenland. Oetingen fue un municipio independiente hasta la reorganización municipal de 1977. El pueblo ha conservado bastante bien su carácter rural, aunque en los últimos años ha habido cada vez más proyectos de construcción que lo amenazan. El actual centro del pueblo, formado por la plaza rectangular con la iglesia, el ayuntamiento y la parroquia, se estableció solo en 1860 cuando "el antiguo lugar", donde tradicionalmente se encontraban la iglesia, la parroquia, el castillo local y la granja, fue abandonado en favor del nuevo centro.
