Neerharen es una submunicipalidad de Lanaken en la provincia de Limburgo Belga. La aldea de Herbricht también pertenece a Neerharen. Cuando en 1828 se excavó el Zuid-Willemsvaart, apareció un muy antiguo jarrón de plata del Mosa, que actualmente se conserva en el Rijksmuseum van Oudheden en Leiden. El objeto, probablemente originario del sur de Europa y datado desde el año 500 a.C., ha captado la atención durante mucho tiempo, especialmente debido a la enigmática inscripción con caracteres latinos y griegos, cuya significado aún no está claro. La vía romana de Nijmegen a Tongeren pasaba por Neerharen. Aquí se han encontrado importantes restos romanos, incluyendo un balneario romano con hipocausto, aproximadamente del año 100 d.C.
