Bornem es conocido por la famosa Dodentocht de Bornem. Esta caminata tiene lugar en y alrededor del municipio belga de Bornem. Este evento se organiza anualmente por el club local de senderismo Kadee el segundo viernes de agosto. El objetivo de la dodentocht es recorrer un trayecto de 100 kilómetros en Klein-Brabant en 24 horas. La Dodentocht se organizó por primera vez en 1970. La inspiración para la caminata se obtuvo tras la participación en la Cuatrienal de Nijmegen. Anualmente participan entre 8000 y 9000 personas de Bélgica, Países Bajos, Alemania, Francia y Gran Bretaña.
