Eernegem es una aldea en la provincia belga de Flandes Occidental y una parte del municipio de Ichtegem. Eernegem se encuentra entre el centro de Ichtegem y la ciudad de Gistel.
Las huellas arqueológicas más antiguas datan de la Edad del Bronce y de la Edad del Hierro. Las fotos aéreas muestran las ubicaciones de túmulos de esa época. No se conocen restos del período romano, aunque la Vía del Mar, construida por los romanos, pasa justo al lado de Eernegem. La parte noroeste del territorio también fue afectada por inundaciones, las transgresiones de Dunkerque.
