El Burreken es una reserva natural reconocida en las Ardenas flamencas en Flandes Oriental. La reserva se encuentra en el territorio de los municipios de Brakel, Maarkedal y Horebeke. La zona, muy accidentada, se sitúa en el límite de la cuenca de Zwalmbekken y de la cuenca de Maarkebeek. Pertenece a los extremos de la cordillera orientada de oeste a este que se extiende en las Ardenas flamencas. En 1981, la entonces asociación sin ánimo de lucro Reservas Naturales compró la primera parcela. Ahora, la reserva natural El Burreken abarca 35 ha y es gestionada por Natuurpunt. En 2021, la zona recibió una subvención de la provincia de Flandes Oriental para su expansión. La reserva natural está reconocida como área Natura 2000 europea y forma parte de la Red Ecológica Flamenca.
