La Chouffe es una cerveza rubia belga que fue elaborada por primera vez el 27 de agosto de 1982 por los cuñados Pierre Gobron y Chris Bauweraerts. Basada en una leyenda de las Ardenas, se eligió un gnomo como logotipo de la cervecería. Comenzó como un pasatiempo que gradualmente se transformó en la Cervecería de Achouffe. La cerveza no se filtra, lo que permite que vuelva a fermentar en la botella. Después de la visita de un escocés, también se elaboró Mc Chouffe, que es de color oscuro y tiene un sabor más picante. Los bebedores que disfrutan regularmente de la cerveza suelen ser reconocibles por su 'Chouffewillo gorro'. La fiesta anual La Grande Choufferie, en el segundo fin de semana de agosto, celebra el nacimiento de la cerveza Chouffe en un ambiente agradable y musical.
