El área de estanques de Midden-Limburg es una zona rica en estanques en De Wijers, una región en el centro de la provincia belga de Limburgo. El área se encuentra aproximadamente al sur de la E314, al este del canal Alberto y al oeste de la línea de tren de Hasselt a Mol. Por lo tanto, se sitúa, como su nombre indica, en el centro de la provincia de Limburgo y es el mayor área de estanques de toda Bélgica, con una superficie total de más de 4000 hectáreas. El paisaje es muy boscoso, con árboles de hoja caduca y coníferas, pero también hay áreas agrícolas muy valiosas y una gran variedad de fauna y flora. En total, hay alrededor de 1.175 estanques, o "wijers" en el dialecto, con una superficie de agua de 700 hectáreas.
