La casa Guiette fue nombrada por el promotor-residente Guiette Les Peupliers. El edificio purista, junto con una vivienda en Weissenhofsiedlung en Stuttgart, es la única realización del Maison Citrohan, uno de los primeros modelos teóricos de vivienda de Le Corbusier. Esto está parcialmente inspirado en la arquitectura tradicional flamenca medieval. También es la única obra de Le Corbusier que aún existe en Bélgica.
