El RAVeL L156 es una antigua línea de ferrocarril que se estableció en 1856 por iniciativa del príncipe heredero de Chimay y debía ser la conexión entre Hermeton-sur-Meuse y Anor en Francia. La explotación de la línea se mantuvo en manos privadas hasta 1948, cuando la NMBS compró la concesión.
