Mercado de Granos -- El Mercado de Granos es un proyecto típico de Gilbert van Schoonbeke. Gilbert compró terrenos de práctica de las guildas de tiradores y ideó una doble función económica para la zona. En el centro de las nuevas calles trazadas, diseñó una plaza que debía servir como nuevo mercado de granos y en la parte frontal de esa plaza construyó el Tapissierspand, un salón de ventas con tiendas, una posada y sótanos de almacenamiento y vivienda para los comerciantes de tapices. ¡El edificio tenía un tamaño impresionante: 80 x 37 metros!
