Mettekoven es una pequeña aldea en la provincia belga de Limburgo, y es una subcomuna del municipio de Heers. Era un municipio independiente hasta que se incorporó al municipio de Heers tras la fusión de 1971.
Mettekoven es una aldea agrícola y de calle en el norte del municipio de Heers. El Herk forma el límite occidental de la subcomuna. La agricultura consiste en el cultivo de remolacha azucarera y todavía hay varias empresas de cultivo de frutas activas. La vía romana Tongeren - Tienen, que aún está presente, forma el límite norte de la subcomuna.
