En el centro del pueblo se encuentra la iglesia de San Martín. Esta iglesia ha sido renovada regularmente a lo largo de los siglos, pero la torre está construida con piedra caliza de Tournai y data del siglo XIII. Sufrió bastante durante la iconoclasia. Esto resulta en 3 tipos de fachadas laterales: una pared norte de ladrillo del siglo XVIII, que contrasta agudamente con la piedra de campo del sur de aquella época. Después de la Primera Guerra Mundial, se reconstruyeron la fachada occidental y la torre. Entonces, la plaza también adquirió una apariencia totalmente nueva bajo la dirección del arquitecto Valentin Vaerwyck, quien también diseñó el ayuntamiento.
