Esta cantera de pizarra está excavada en el lado derecho del valle de Semois, debajo del pueblo de Rochehaut y en frente de Frahan, a la altura de la masa rocosa llamada 'La Roche des Corbeaux'. La empinada y boscosa ladera presenta diferentes niveles, innumerables muros y muros de contención y abundantes montones de desechos. Tres entradas de galerías se apilan en la ladera. Hacia el norte se extiende el área más o menos abierta de la cantera, cuya parte inferior, la más visitada por los senderistas, está menos colonizada por plantas leñosas y permanece bien soleada. La cantera subterránea (SGIB 628) tiene una gran importancia quiropterológica. La empinada y boscosa ladera es especialmente rica en helechos.
