El mercado folklórico de Heist (julio y agosto) existe desde hace tiempo. De 15:00 a 20:00 horas, Heist es el escenario para una demostración de oficios antiguos, actuaciones del grupo de baile juvenil 'Klakkertjes', un teatro de marionetas, un paseo de los gigantes Pier y Wanne y mucho más. Durante los días de mercado, a veces es difícil aparcar en Knokke en la superficie, por lo que se recomienda utilizar el aparcamiento subterráneo bajo la Plaza Verwee.
