El cerdo es un animal que pastorea y prefiere estar todo el día hurgando en la tierra. Nuestras madres viven y habitan todo el año en un refugio para cerdas donde pueden revolcarse en barro y hurgar ('pastorear') en tierra fresca a su antojo. Una simple casita con paja fresca les ofrece algo de protección contra el sol o el frío, pero generalmente ves a Manon y a las otras cerdas disfrutando de la vida fuera de un establo, donde se han plantado deliciosos bosquecillos de sombra y forraje. También los otros cerdos aprovechan en El Jardín del Pastoreo la libertad de hacer al aire libre lo que su instinto les dicta.
