En el lugar del beaterio "delle tour", fundado en el siglo XIV y abolido en 1642, frente al desaparecido monasterio de las Monjas Grises o Recolectas, se construyó hacia 1760 un antiguo refugio de la Abadía de Malonne .
El palacio episcopal fue ampliado desde principios del siglo XIX por monseñor Pisani de la Gaude con un ala para la secretaría, un gran salón y varias dependencias. En sustitución de la anterior se construyó una capilla neogótica , completamente pintada y fechada en 1859.
Precedida por un patio pavimentado , cerrado al lado de la calle por un alto muro, esta bellísima mansión en forma de U de ladrillo y piedra caliza de estilo Luis XV, enlucida y pintada. El edificio principal tiene un frontón curvo con el lema "Benevole et fortiter" y el escudo del Abbé Bonvoisin.
