El Aeropuerto Internacional de Nicosia , ubicado al oeste de la capital de Chipre, era la principal terminal aérea del país desde su construcción en la década de 1930 como estación de la Royal Air Force hasta 1974. Actualmente se encuentra inoperable.
El aeropuerto fue construido en la década del 30 por la RAF. Durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial fueron ampliadas su pista e instalaciones. En los años 1943 y 1944 fue empleado por los aviones norteamericanos para bombardear los pozos petroleros de Rumania.[1]
