Gütersloh es una ciudad en el estado alemán de Renania del Norte-Westfalia. Es capital del distrito de Gütersloh y cuenta con casi 100.000 habitantes.
Gütersloh está ubicado en el suroeste del Bosque Teutónico , y por lo tanto al noroeste de la frontera de una ensenada de pre-historia . Limita con Rheda-Wiedenbrück en una especie de bosque de coníferas llamado Rhedaer Forst. Un riachuelo llamado Dalke cruza la ciudad de Este a Oeste y pasa por el parque municipal en el que se encuentra el jardín botánico, vertiendo sus aguas al EmsEstá cercana al llamado "cúmulo de ciudades" industrializadas. Ha sido elegida por los británicos para establecer una base militar.
