Bretnig-Hauswalde es una localidad de la ciudad de Großröhrsdorf y fue, hasta su incorporación el 1 de enero de 2017, un municipio sajón que pertenecía a la comunidad administrativa de Großröhrsdorf en el distrito de Bautzen. La ubicación de la localidad se encuentra a unos 30 kilómetros al este de la capital del estado, Dresde.
Bretnig y Hauswalde están situados a aproximadamente 11 kilómetros al noroeste de Bischofswerda y a unos 15 kilómetros al sur de Kamenz. En una superficie de 14,41 km², el municipio tenía 2914 habitantes y constaba de las dos partes del lugar, Bretnig y Hauswalde.
