Beilstein es una pequeña ciudad en el distrito de Heilbronn, situada al pie de las montañas Löwensteiner. Pertenece a la región de Heilbronn-Franken y a la zona periférica de la metrópoli europea de Stuttgart.
Beilstein se encuentra en el sur del distrito de Heilbronn. Tiene parte de los espacios naturales de las montañas Suabo-Fránconas y la cuenca del Neckar. El lugar es atravesado por el Söhlbach, un afluente del Bottwar. Aunque Beilstein no se encuentra en el Bottwar propiamente dicho, que solo toca el territorio municipal en el borde, Beilstein generalmente se considera parte del valle de Bottwar. La región incluye también partes significativas de las montañas Löwensteiner y se extiende hacia el este hasta la Lauter "Spiegelberger".
