Wiednitz es una aldea en el distrito de Bautzen, en el borde norte de Alta Lusacia. Desde el 1 de enero de 2012, es un barrio de la ciudad de Bernsdorf. Partes de las parcelas de la aldea anteriormente pertenecían a Prusia.
La aldea se encuentra en una región boscosa casi plana, a veces húmeda, en el borde del paisaje de brezales y estanques de Alta Lusacia, muy cerca de la frontera con Brandeburgo. Al norte y noreste se extiende un paisaje de terrenos de extracción de carbón. Wiednitz se encuentra aproximadamente a 13 kilómetros al noroeste de Kamenz y 18 km al suroeste de Hoyerswerda.
