Schierstein es un antiguo municipio y desde octubre de 1926 es parte de Wiesbaden. Se encuentra en el sur de esta ciudad a orillas del Rin. Con aproximadamente 10,000 habitantes, Schierstein es uno de los barrios de tamaño medio de Wiesbaden. En este barrio se encuentra, entre otras cosas, el puerto deportivo de Wiesbaden.
