El Kurtheater Hennef fue construido en 1938. Es, junto a los cines cerrados Central y Parklichtspiele en la calle Frankfurt, el primero y último de los tres cines que hubo en Hennef. El edificio está protegido como patrimonio y cuenta con 195 asientos.
Desde 2003, el cine es operado por la "Asociación de Amigos y Benefactores del Kur-Theater Hennef e. V.". Además de películas, también se utiliza para artes menores, música y otros eventos.
