Het Kurtheater Hennef werd in 1938 gebouwd. Het is, naast de reeds gesloten filmtheaters Central en Parklichtspiele aan de Frankfurter Straße, het eerste en laatste van de ooit drie bioscopen in Hennef. Het gebouw is monumentaal beschermd en heeft 195 zitplaatsen.
Sinds 2003 wordt de bioscoop geëxploiteerd door de “Vereniging van Vrienden en Weldoeners van het Kur-Theater Hennef e. V.” Naast films wordt het ook gebruikt voor kleinkunst, muziek en andere evenementen.
