La estación de tren de Hennef se encuentra en el centro de la ciudad de Hennef, en el distrito de Rhein-Sieg. Fue inaugurada en 1859 por el ferrocarril Cöln-Mindener con la línea Sieg y sirvió para el tráfico de pasajeros y mercancías. Actualmente, aquí circulan según lo programado el RE 9 cada hora y los S 12 / S 19 con seis trenes por hora hacia la estación central de Colonia, de los cuales un tren va cada media hora hasta Au, siendo que el RE 9 se refuerza en las horas pico por la mañana hacia Colonia y por la tarde hacia Siegen. Raramente también circulan trenes de mercancías por la estación. Todos los trenes de pasajeros que circulan según lo programado por la estación son operados por DB Regio NRW. Hoy en día, la estación corresponde a la clase de precio 4 y es una estación de paso. La abreviatura de la instalación de operaciones es KHEN y el número internacional de la estación de tren es 8002753.
