La Heinrich-Heine-Schule en Heikendorf es un gimnasio bajo la administración del distrito de Plön. Es una escuela abierta de jornada completa y ofrece a sus alumnas y alumnos una oferta de aprendizaje más allá de la enseñanza regular.
Al comienzo del año escolar 1973/74, el gimnasio pudo comenzar sus actividades en las instalaciones de la primera fase de construcción con 386 alumnas y alumnos y 17 profesoras y profesores. La inauguración oficial tuvo lugar el 29 de noviembre de 1973.
