De Heinrich-Heine-School in Heikendorf is een gymnasium in het beheer van de gemeente Plön. Het is een open school voor voltijds onderwijs en biedt zijn leerlingen een leeraanbod buiten het reguliere onderwijs.
Aan het begin van het schooljaar 1973/74 kon het gymnasium zijn activiteiten starten in de ruimtes van de eerste fase met 386 leerlingen en 17 docenten. De officiële opening vond plaats op 29 november 1973.
