El Pequeño Winterberg es una cumbre secundaria de 837 m sobre el nivel del mar, situada en el Wurmberg, que se encuentra en el vecindario de Baja Sajonia, en la cordillera del Harz. Se ubica cerca de Schierke, en el distrito de Harz, en Sajonia-Anhalt.
El Pequeño Winterberg se eleva en el Parque Natural de Harz/Sajonia-Anhalt, justo al este de la frontera con Baja Sajonia. Su cima se encuentra a aproximadamente 2,2 km al suroeste del pueblo de Schierke, que pertenece a la ciudad de Wernigerode. Al noreste, más allá del Schierke, que se sitúa junto al río Kalte Bode, se eleva el Hohnekamm. Hacia el sureste, el paisaje se convierte en el Barenberg, mientras que hacia el sur desciende hacia el valle de Bremke, que nace en la zona de transición hacia el Wurmberg, que se encuentra al oeste y más allá de la frontera del estado. Al noroeste se encuentra el Gran Winterberg y más allá de este, el Brocken.
