La Gran Piedra de Tonnenheide es uno de los mayores glaciares conocidos del norte de Alemania. Se encuentra en la localidad de Tonnenheide, en la ciudad de Rahden, en el noreste de Renania del Norte-Westfalia.
Se supone que el glaciar proviene de la provincia sueca de Blekinge län, según las determinaciones geológicas. Blekinge län se encuentra a aproximadamente 615 kilómetros al noreste de Tonnenheide. La roca está compuesta de granito de biotita. Se formó hace aproximadamente mil millones de años. Con el avance de los glaciares de Escandinavia durante la última gran glaciación, la Glaciación Saale, la Gran Piedra fue transportada hasta Westfalia, donde se encuentra en la actualidad. Por lo tanto, ha estado allí durante aproximadamente 200,000 años, desde que los glaciares comenzaron a derretirse.
