El relieve de la crucifixión en las Externsteine es un gran relieve tallado en la arenisca de las Externsteine en el bosque de Teutoburgo, en el que se representa la bajada de la cruz. Se considera la escultura en roca maciza más antigua al norte de los Alpes.
Las Externsteine son una roca secundaria, es decir, están compuestas de sedimentos. Se trata de una arenisca calcárea, que es bastante blanda y, por lo tanto, fácil de trabajar escultóricamente.
