El embalse de Bitburg es un estanque de retención de inundaciones y se encuentra en Prüm en Biersdorf am See y Wiersdorf en la Eifel, a unos doce kilómetros al noroeste de Bitburg en Renania-Palatinado.
La presa, un terraplén de 15 metros de altura, fue construida por la asociación de usufructo embalse de Bitburg para la protección contra inundaciones en un lugar donde el estrecho y profundo valle de la Prüm se abre a un valle que anteriormente siempre estaba en peligro de inundaciones. El embalse, de aproximadamente dos kilómetros de largo y hasta nueve metros de profundidad, sirve para la regulación de aguas bajas, la generación de energía, el recreo y se ha convertido en un popular destino de excursiones, así como en un centro turístico en el sur de Eifel. Alrededor del lago hay un camino circular de cinco kilómetros y muchos otros senderos, que en parte están iluminados por la noche. Aquí también comienza la red de senderos del Parque Natural de Alemania-Luxemburgo.
