La Escuela Secundaria Alexander-Lebenstein de Haltern am See es la única escuela secundaria en la ciudad de Haltern am See, en Westfalia. Comparte un complejo de edificios con el Gimnasio Joseph-König.
En diciembre de 1966, el consejo de la ciudad de Haltern tomó la decisión de establecer una escuela secundaria. Esta inició en 1967 como la Escuela Secundaria Municipal de Haltern, impartiendo clases en las instalaciones del hogar juvenil de la parroquia de San Laurentius. En el segundo año de su existencia, se pudieron utilizar las instalaciones de la Escuela Primaria Eichendorff. En diciembre de 1970, el arquitecto marler Hans Hansen ganó el concurso de arquitectura para la construcción del nuevo centro escolar. El 1 de agosto de 1974, con la finalización de la primera fase de construcción del centro escolar de Haltern, la escuela secundaria ocupó sus nuevas instalaciones.
